News Reporter Express Applications ~ Open!

Your chance to apply to news without having to answer the awkward questions!

The News Department offers interesting, exciting and exclusive reports to the Habbox users and the wider Habbo community, covering both Habbo and Real Life reports.

For two weeks, until the Monday 20th May, you will be able to apply with a process that skips most of the questions. These applications will be based entirely off of your article that you submit in your application, allowing those of you who struggle with the questions to have your chance to shine!

We're looking for people who are interested in Habbo News, writing Room Reviews, investigating stories (both Real Life and Habbo) and writing all kinds of things! It's really a chance to use your imagination and get your crazy ideas in action!

We have a set of general criteria for those who wish to be part of the News department, and we are looking for those who:

Have good writing ability, including a varied vocabulary
Have good spelling/grammar
Are active on Habbo/Habbox
Are good team workers
Are able to write a minimum of two news reports each week (please be aware that the minimum is subject to increase depending on future circumstance)

As I have already stated, your example news report will be key in deciding whether you get a trial offer. This must be your own work, and it is highly preferable that you do a Habbo based report.

Content Design - OPEN

Once every blue moon, the little known department named Content Design opens it's doors and welcomes in the best writers from all of the realm to present their case so that they may be chosen to write content for all of the kingdom. Today there just so happens to be a very blue moon, so blue that we're even accepting applications for both sides of the content design department!

You can of course apply for just one side, or both and once you join the department you can even change sides. There are different writing styles, presentation skills and organisation associated with both sides so be sure to play to your strengths.

If you do choose to apply for both sides please do send them as separate private messages as they will be assessed separately.

Habbox Wiki
Wiki Staff are responsible for content creation, maintenance, moderation and all-round improvement of the Wiki. Wiki Staff hold a very general role and can be called on upon to perform various different tasks. It is important when editing to write with an impartial, third person view point. The purpose of the wiki is to convey information efficiently without over-representing Habbox.

Habbox writers are in charge of all the content you see on the main site. This includes things such as guides, history articles, events pages and more. Duties will include creating new interesting content for the site, updating previous content and coming up with innovative ideas! So, if you've got a passion for writing constructively and want to be part of Habbox this is the job for you!

Events - OPEN

Hello everyone!

The Events Department is looking for a bunch of new, dedicated Events Organisers so this could be your chance to join the team. The applications are open for anyone to apply, however please bear in mind that sometimes organsing an event can be quite time consuming. You must be able to balance your general life schedule (such as school, college, etc) with being an Events Organiser.

If you pass, you would be required to hold two events a week and supply your own prizes which should generally be of good value. If you feel you don't have enough furniture, perhaps now may not be the most feasible time to apply. On the occasion that a winner would prefer forum reputation, Events Organisers can now give five rep points per win.

Remember standards are high at Habbox, so the best applicants will show an enthusiasm to exceed expectations and be a true role model. As always, time and money are the key principles to consider. We welcome applications from everyone, regardless of their time zone or experience. Applicants from a non-BST timezone will be expected to host events at off-peak times with the intention of expanding our fanbase on a worldwide level.

Events Management view applicants' rooms when selecting trialists. We encourage you to build a suitable events room or display your furniture, in order to to put yourself in the best position, although this is not compulsory.

Competitions

It's that time again! We are opening up applications for a small number of dedicated members to become competitions staff. As competitions staff, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a great team to provide Habbox users with new and interesting competitions. To become competitions staff, you need to be able to do the following:

Use your imagination to create unique, fun and exciting competitions.
Have the ability to use spelling, punctuation and grammar accurately when writing.
Use the forum regularly and be able to use it efficiently.
Be able to write at least four competitions a month - however this may increase.

Please note that you will NOT have to provide your own prizes, they will be provided by Habbox.

*PLEASE NOTE, "An example competition" is not asking you for an idea of a competition! It requires you to layout a competition as we do for the public! Remember, when writing your example competition, you want to write in paragraphs, with correct punctuation, grammar and spelling and you need to include colours and text effects for emphasis. You might want to have a look at some current competitions in the 'Competitions' forum as an idea of what a competition should be designed like. We do not want *insert title here* *insert body part here* and so on, we would like it written out properly in full.
