We see the introduction of Trading Passes to make trading safer in version 30!

To try and prevent scamming and other trade related problems, Habbo introduced a new Trading Pass which was required before you could trade with other Habbos. The criteria to earn one was that your email address must be verified, the account was at least 3 days old and that the Habbo had spent at least 1 hour in the hotel. Along with this was the awarding of the Trading Pass achievement badge to wander around the hotel with, whether you wanted to trade or not! Habbo also allowed users to disable trading on their account by changing their settings. In another attempt to prevent scamming, if one member of the trade cancelled the deal, the whole trade was off. Ever wanted to trade more than 6 items? Well now you can, an additional three boxes to place items in have been added should you need them when getting rid of your old items!
