Did you know that Habbo has its very own YouTube, Facebook and Twitter accounts? They are commonly used for posting updates regarding hotel additions, showcasing latest competitions (including Facebook Competitions) and to allow users to communicate with staff members. The YouTube account is filled with old videos concerning celebrity visits and various other events, the Facebook page contains hundreds of posts regarding competitions and sneak peek images and the Twitter profile often contains links to blog posts, staff-made images and room links. It would be fairly wise to check out their Social Media accounts on a daily basis!

Created on November 26th 2009, Habbo’s Twitter page is the place to visit if you wish to find out little ‘snippets’ of information regarding the latest updates. New furniture, new competitions, new updates, “sneak peek” designs and various other images are all posted on their Twitter page. Alongside the Habbo account, many other Sulake staff also started gaining “staff accounts” in early 2012 to help bridge the communication gap between users and Sulake employees. Created on November 24th 2009, Habbo’s Facebook page is the place to visit if you want the full details on the lastest “Facebook Competitions”, assorted images (in-client and externally), latest furniture releases and access to a “meme generator”. Some users have been lucky enough to have their rooms and videos displayed on the Habbo Facebook pages for all countries (e.g. Rakker’s room building video).

As of August 2012, the Habbo.com page has amassed over 1.2 million “likes” and the Habbo.es page has amassed over 700,000 “likes”. The Facebook pages for other countries all follow the same link as above, but with the country code afterwards – e.g. /HabboNL or /HabboES.

Created on January 27th 2006, Habbo’s YouTube channel is the way to truly relive and rediscover memorable events on the hotel. Sulake often upload videos of celebrities (such as Mindless Behavior) visiting the offices and occasionally, winning videos in competitions are uploaded onto the Habbo YouTube channel (such as the Habbowood winners). A competition surrounding videos arose during the Habbo Helper campaign, if a video on their YouTube channel titled Habbo Helpers will you help obtained 100,000 views, users would have had the chance to gain a special badge. In the end the 100,000 aim was succeeded and the current number of views on that video is now in excess of 230,000.

As of August 2012, the Habbo YouTube channel has gained over 17,000 subscribers and the total number of video views stands in surplus of 2 million.
